A North Carolina West Lincoln High School athlete is getting dragged all over social media after being caught on video yelling the n-word like it was his big break — only to realize his own friend was lining him up for an internet takedown.
The clip, posted by Facebook user Zandrea Lattimore Jones, shows the boy in a blue jacket, gripping an unknown drink, mouthing off before letting the racism fly.
“P***y a*s boy,” the West Lincoln High School athlete says.
The friend filming eggs him on: “Say that shit bro, say that shit.”
Without hesitation, the boy screams the n-word from the top of his lungs. When asked, “What’s RJ?”, he doubles down and spits out, “A f*****g n****r.”
Jones blasted the West Lincoln High School athlete and his buddies, saying it’s “extremely disrespectful” for players to hurl racial slurs at other athletes — and even hinted that some of them were underage drinking. She ended her post by showing support for RJ Lynch, a respected Lincolnton High School football standout.

WHO IS RJ LYNCH?
While the West Lincoln High School athlete is out here fumbling his reputation, RJ Lynch, a black athlete, is making plays on and off the field. He’s a varsity starter for Lincolnton High School’s Class of 2028, a First Team All-Conference honoree, and a conference championship winner.
His athletic stats put him among the top players in the state, with high rankings in receiving yards per game and touchdowns per game. RJ is building his name in sports, while the other kid is building a permanent place on the internet for all the wrong reasons.
SCHOOL OFFICIALS RESPOND
Lincoln County Schools labeled the West Lincoln High School athlete’s behavior “unacceptable” and said disciplinary action is already in motion.
West Lincoln High School released its own statement calling the behavior “deeply disappointing” and stressing that:
“Racism, discrimination, and derogatory language of any kind have no place in our school, on our teams, or in our community.”
While the district didn’t disclose exactly what’s happening to the athlete, the internet has already decided — his social standing is benched.
